The diminutive GE ASM06LK Wall Air Conditioner is a slide-out chassis system that, weighing in at only 50 pounds, can also be easily window mounted. While it is small in size we were pleased to find it was big on features and value. The 6,300 BTU output will capably and quietly cool rooms of about 200 square feet in size and the electronic controls, programmable timer and remote are easy and intuitive to set up and utilize.

The dehumidifier on the GE ASM06LK removes 1.6 pints of moisture from the air per hour is great if you live in an area with high humidity. This energy star rated unit also boasts an Energy Saver Mode in which the compressor and fan cycle on and off simultaneously causing wider variations in temperature and humidity. While this will generally still maintain comfort levels, GE suggests this setting for when a room is unoccupied.

The only issue we had with the GE ASM06LK was that the airflow was somewhat hard to direct effectively, but this was by no means a deal breaker. Not only is this unit cheap to operate, but its is also easy on the wallet to purchase.

Buyers should note the GE ASM06LK Wall Air Conditioner has been discontinued and replaced by the AEM06LM, but it still can be found for order on the internet. The lowest price we've found online at the time of this posting was $180 making an air conditioner this feature-rich an excellent value.
